Oryx and Crake - Margaret Atwood

My first post on Booklikes, which I'm already in love with, and my first Margaret Atwood book.

I'm not sure why it took me so long to get around to reading Margaret Atwood, not when Handmaid's Tale has been on my to-read list for almost a year now. But once I cracked open this book it was a rollercoaster and I did not want to get off.

Atwood creates a world that is close enough to our own that it takes little for us to accept it as a reality, but strange enough to set off alarm bells in our head. It's so fantastic.

All I'm going t do is gush. Simply I love her narrative style, and I've already devoured Year of the Flood (The second installment of the MaddAddam trilogy) and am impatiently waiting to get the third in my hands.

Meanwhile I've grabbed The Handmaid's Tale (Finally) and wept on the subway as I plowed through that.

Atwood and I are going to get along very well I think.
